I like Lindsay’s approach to language learning: it is funny and engaging. I have appreciated this video, but I think that some reasons to learn Italian are weak or about stereotypes. I have tried to make my own short list.
    1) If you want to go beyond pasta, mafia and Berlusconi, learning Italian is a good way to get close to the real italian culture.
    2) Because of Manzoni, Leopardi, Pirandello and many others. The italian literature is second to none.
    3) In Italy there are some of the world’s most beautiful cities. Learning Italian is the best way to love them even more.
    4) Italian is a really rich and complex language. Learning its grammar is not the easiest thing to do, but I think it can be very satisfying.
    5) I agree with Lindsay: you can surprise people by telling them you are studying Italian. This thing makes you feel special and it is a great feeling.
